The hotel is very close to the football stadium and if our son decides to play for UTPB we will definitely be booking our visits at this establishment!
Very clean! Our family was there for a college football visit. We stayed on the 4th floor King Suite. Called hotel directly and got a great rate with a super nice front desk employee think her name was Tiffany.
Very nice, reasonably priced hotel. We traveled for a funeral with my family of 5. Front desk person adjusted our rate after noticing the rate we paid online was much higher than their current rate! Very much appreciated. The room was mostly clean. The sheets on the pull-out bed were a little dirty(hairs/dirt.) The room layout was perfect for the 5 of us. King bed, pull-out in main room. Double bed in attached room. Breakfast was decent, could use some variety. But, with Rosa's Cafe just around the corner, we didn't eat much breakfast. Will definitely stay here again in the future.
Hotel room would have been fine, except the heat was not working and could not be repaired. Asked for a new room and was told they were sold out. Desk clerk was not helpful and seemed overworked when I reported the problem. I will not stay there on my next visit to family in the Odessa TX area.
The separate queen room was fantastic for our 18 yr old to close himself off and play video games into the night while the rest of us slept peacefully.
The A/C’s have remotes and are a bit confusing but most likely operator error. Called front desk and they talked us thru.
A very OUTSTANDING Hotel Staff! Clean rooms ..soon a Micro Brewery to open across the street..i highly recommend to anyone this Best Western Plus..
Only real negative, sleeper sofa bed was terrible! May be ok for small children but not for our teenager or adults. You can feel the wire frame. Since the couch was L-shape and comfortable we threw a sheet on and our 16 yr old slept great.
Not any food places close except McAllister’s, we were looking for adult beverages. Drove a short way up the road to The Salt Grass to have a few cocktails and dinner.
Also, loved being able to open the window the next morning and enjoy the cool, crisp air from the recent cold front.
Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived and the staff was scrambling. Apparently the cleaning crew did not show up. We were on a tight time schedule and the manager was very apologetic but accommodating and allowed us in our room to change and leave our stuff in the closet. The hotel was booked due to a wedding. Anyway, when we got back to our room it was ready and very clean. We don’t typically like to walk barefoot in our rooms at a 3 star but not this time. Not sure if due to hotel being so new but the room and floors were very clean.
Morning breakfast was typical at this type of establishment, however there were no hash browns when we came down at 9:30 and the nice lady running the breakfast ran to the back and brought out fresh potatoes. She could have said “no” since breakfast ended at 10 but instead said she had something better. She was right! We stayed past the 10am cut off but never felt rushed or hurried to leave.
You can see Home (Best Western Plus) the tall majestic blue and red and white building from a mile away. The lobby has art work designed by the son AC, he is unique individual and very affluent business owner. I can hardly wait to get back to my home away from home. Believe this, I am older now and sleep to about 6 am. On my second stay here I slept to 11:00 am. I have not slept this well since I was 16 years old.
