Very nice facility. Well kept.
Staff is nice. Kitchen is really nice. Target Logistics always gets the kitchen detail right. The only issue I have with the Black Gold is the sharing of a bathroom. That one set back aside, this place is really good.
Rooms are clean for most part. Had a few sugar ants running around on counter when I first got to my room. Food is not bad. Internet is decent. Good cell signal (4G) with Sprint. Not so good cell signal with T-Mobile. Unfortunately you have to share a bathroom and the guy who shares mine is on same shift as me so we do have to wait at times. The main thing I don't like is there is no mini refrigerator in the rooms. There is also no microwave but I could care less about that... but the no refrigerator is bad. If this place had mini refrigerators, this would probably be my favorite place to stay in Odessa. But unfortunately their competitor down the way has private bathrooms for each room AND mini fridges in each room so I will opt to stay there when asked my preference which we often get asked.
Lock on door to bedroom from shared bathroom was broke off (looked like someone must have kicked the door at some point breaking the bar off). This allows the person in the opposite room to gain free access to your room. Also the toilets are very small (not elongated) so they force you to sit on your d!ck unless I guess you are a tiny guy. Also no mini fridges in rooms. If these things were addressed, this place would be perfect. Another man camp down the road a ways has the nicer toilets, private bathrooms, and mini fridges. Black Gold should take some cues from their competitor.
The beds are comfortable and the food is much better than most mancamps around the area
